“Plate Music” is a theatrical performance which explores the sounds produced with the three most familiar items of our everyday lives. The result is an entertaining show that has the audience joining in.
While this could unleash your inner musician, the real aim is to offer the audience something different through a moment of togetherness, playing with every possible noise that can be made with a plate and a knife and fork.
This transformation of day-to-day objects into musical instruments is led in a rather burlesque manner by an eccentric character pretending to be an experienced conductor. Suitable for all, 40 mins.

  • Kids' Show: Petits Jeux sans Conséquence

Free show for children. Enough to give the imagination a boost!

It’s unclear to start with whether this trio are on the same wavelength, or if they’re even cut out for the stage! But with unfailing determination they keep on trying, using all the right gestures and united in a single goal: to entertain the public no matter what!
Here we have an acrobat of immense perseverance, another with a severe case of stage psycho-rigidity, and a carrier who just happened to be passing by. Put them together and you get a lively mixture of complicity and madness.
At least until one of them fails to turn up for the performance, another disappears in the middle of the act, and the third is left to go to pieces on stage! This calls for a little improvisation and a quick idea: Football, wrestling, gymnastics, anything to keep the show going! 30 minutes, suitable for all.

Enjoy nature and mountain-inspired films on giant screens! It’s a real feast for the eyes and the soul, under a starry sky.
After Mongolia and Alaska, Eliott spent 4 months alone crossing the Himalayas where he met some of the last nomadic people to walk the earth. Intended as a “march for degrowth”, the aim of his adventure was to fully accomplish what he had previously begun: complete the expedition in total self-sufficiency, having abandoned all items from the nature-destroying “modern” world. Fire made by friction, pelt coat, bamboo bag, video camera in hand and his horse at his side, Eliott succeeded, yet again. Produced by Eliott SCHONFELD in 2018 - 52 minutes

Free show for children. Good for the soul and the imagination!

Welcome to “The whole circus just for me”!
In this show, Dobran tells us the story of his troubled family. He tells of the circus traditions and music learnt from his grandfather, Emilio, and his memories of travelling with his brother, Zork and their donkeys, Zaskia and Boris. It was a time when their circus acts were their only means of survival. Dobran likes heights, hanging in mid air or performing his balancing act. He enjoys having the public on the edge of their seat as he talks about Zork while climbing a mountain of crates or running around the stage behind his untamed diabolo... As if his brother were still present, Dobran describes their joys, their life in exile and their search for an identity. He makes us laugh and he makes us cry. Dobran has a thirst for life. He is no longer afraid. He is a free man. In his bamboo decor, with his cassette player from Istanbul and his amazing feats, he offers a performance full of tenderness, joy, sadness... and humanity. From 6 years old, 1h.

  • Outdoor film screenings with a mountain theme: Dessine-moi un chamois

Enjoy nature and mountain-inspired films on giant screens! It’s a real feast for the eyes and the soul, under a starry sky.
Colin is 9 years old. He’s a young city boy like any other. He is intrigued by his grandparents’ work. They make animal documentaries. Come wind or snow, they’re up there tracking the chamois, mountain hare, black grouse, marmot, ibex and other mountain wildlife... Over a period of three years, he spends his school holidays with them in their hamlet perched 1,650 metres above sea level in the Parc National du Grand Paradis. To Colin, this nature reserve is a whole new school. To see the royal eagle as something other than a tiny dot in the sky, and observe the chamois before it disappears in a flash, he has to be patient and put in a lot of time and effort without getting disheartened. Colin learns to move stealthily, identify tracks, use crampons and sleep at high altitude in a tent. But there’s one animal he still hasn’t seen. To do so, Colin needs the help of his grandfather. Will they find it? Produced by Véronique, Anne and Erik Lapied in 2017 - 68 minutes

  • Kids' Show: Sous l'chantier la plage

Free show for children. Good for the soul and the imagination!

    Work, wages and a boss!
50 years after May 68 and we’re still waking up early in the morning to the same old tune... a tune that justifies our existence... and makes us forget our wildest dreams! But what if we had the choice. What would we do? Stay. But why? Leave everything behind. But what for? A forewoman who needs as much work on herself as on the roadworks she’s in charge of. A traveller whose diary is full of words of wisdom. And as for the road... Signs, cones and a forewoman twirl around the stage in a visual combination of the comical and the poetic, with an out-of-control cement mixer thrown in. Should we try to stop this devilish machine that never stops turning? This blend of touching, juggling and manipulating objects carries us off down the road of life... an enchanting road but one which sometimes leads to a bit of a mess! From 3 years old, 45 mins.

Venue: Maison Chastan, Vars Sainte Marie

  • Thursday 06 August

  • Show "Entre biceps et paillettes"

The two stars of this show, “les Deux Dames” (the two ladies) are not making it all up.
They’re having fun on the stage, playing on their own personalities, flaunting their femininity and exploiting their differences. They act out different situations, some of them comical, others dark, sometimes moving. But these girls don’t play any ordinary games. While others have fun with their kittens, they mess about with heavy metal pipes. While others go gooey watching a romantic film, they’re suspended 7 metres above the stage. But are they not, after all, a mixture of all of the above? Brutes with big hearts, sensitive moaners, sentimental beings in need of a thrill. This 45-minute show is intended for a wide audience of all ages. It is interactive and entertaining and includes music and circus acts with aerial ribbons. A great escape from the daily routine and light-hearted fun when the gantry gets too heavy.

  • Outdoor film screenings with a mountain theme: Ours, simplement sauvage

Enjoy nature and mountain-inspired films on giant screens! It’s a real feast for the eyes and the soul, under a starry sky.

This film plunges the viewer into the dizzying decor of the Cantabrian Mountains in Northern Spain. It offers an original naturalistic look at the brown bear. On the trail of this emblematic animal recurrently seen here, we discover a natural habitat with a primitive feel, where the vegetation and wildlife offer us nature untouched. These mountainsides are also home to the grey wolf, the Eurasian otter, the griffon vulture and the coal tit. All these species reinforce the impression of being at nature’s primitive source where humans also have their place. The film is based around the words of four people, French and Spanish, who each have their own inside view of the natural world. It makes us reflect on our relationship with nature and the possibility of living in harmony with it.
