Day 3

Big Air

Big Air Final for Snowboard Espoirs

The event marked the last day of the Vars ski area’s opening season, as well as the close of competition for a hundred young freestyle snowboarders at the Vars snowpark. After slopestyle events, the participants competed in the Big Air category.

The competition took place in two parts: on the one hand, the Minimes, Cadets and Juniors categories, comprising 46 athletes, competed on courses of increased difficulty, with French Champion titles up for grabs. On the other hand, a more playful competition, called “Pretty Air”, was organized for the youngest (Microbes, Poussins, Benjamins), bringing together 50 participants. The latter did not contribute to the official rankings of the French Championships, aiming rather to offer an enriching and fun experience, promoting pleasure and progression in a competitive context.
