For this young race format, open to Cadets and introduced to the Vars Mountain Trail programme two years ago, the route starts at Vars Sainte-Marie and climbs directly to the place known as Le Château on the heights of the village of Saint-Marcellin. It’s a short but steep climb before returning to Sainte-Catherine via a magnificent single track on a balcony with a breathtaking view of the Eyssina, Vars’ signature mountain. The loop ends with a descent to the Pont de la Salce and its waterfalls before arriving at the village of Sainte-Marie. Ready for the challenge?
