The must-do activity on a mountain holiday

It’s impossible to imagine a mountain holiday without a toboggan ride! Located in Vars Les Claux, the Espace luge du Fournet is an area dedicated to tobogganing for children and families. Free to use, it allows you to enjoy the thrills of sliding in complete safety in a specially designed area in the heart of the Vars resort.

First experiences of the snow, family runs and bursts of laughter guaranteed: the Espace luge du Fournet is the ideal place to share some quality time together during your mountain holiday.

/ A few essential rules

Accessible to everyone and particularly popular with children, sledgeing remains a winter sport that requires a few safety precautions to be observed.

To ensure everyone’s safety, tobogganing is only permitted in areas specifically designated for this purpose. Tobogganing is prohibited within the ski area, whether the slopes are open or closed. Outside opening hours, maintenance and safety checks may be carried out, which could pose a danger.

Our tips for making the most of your sledge ride

Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended
Make sure you wear warm clothing suitable for winter conditions
Children are the responsibility of adults
Check that the run is clear before setting off

During the Christmas and February school holidays, Vars invites you to enjoy an unmissable experience: giant toboggan runs after the ski area has closed.

After a day’s skiing, hop on the Chabrières Télémix and enjoy a long run down the slopes in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Whether with friends or family, get ready for one of the most enjoyable moments of your holiday.

Terms and conditions of participation

Helmets are compulsory
Sleds fitted with metal brakes are compulsory
Ski boots are not permitted
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult

Every Wednesday during the Christmas and February holidays at 4.45 pm.
Sledging passes must be purchased at the ski lift ticket offices. 1 ascent + 1 descent = €10.
