From what age can you take part in Vars Mountain Kart?

The Vars Mountain Kart is reserved for people who are at least 1.40 metres tall. The kart can only accommodate one driver, but children under 16 must be accompanied (by an adult in a second kart). In summer, the ‘red’ route is not recommended for children under 14.

Two seasons, the same adrenaline rush

Take your place behind the wheel of your Mountain Kart and get ready to hurtle down the slopes of Vars in an experience that’s as fun as it is thrilling. With bursts of acceleration, sharp bends and fits of laughter, every run promises its own thrills on routes with a descent of up to nearly 370 metres.

In summer and winter alike, the terrain changes and transforms the experience. The scenery changes, as do the landmarks, but one thing remains the same: the thrill of picking up speed in the heart of the mountains.

Once you reach the bottom, the hardest part isn’t usually the run itself… but stopping after the first one.

The Vars Mountain Kart in winter

1 route with a 370-metre descent: 2.9 km

The descent takes place on the following runs: Escondus, Écureuil and Petit Ubac

Flat rate: €28 (1 ascent + 1 descent)

Open daily from 19 December 2026 to 11 April 2027.Meet at 4.15 pm at the foot of the Chabrières Télémix.

Make sure you’re properly kitted out: helmets are compulsory (provided on request), warm clothing, gloves and suitable footwear.
Ski and snowboard boots are not permitted

2 routes with a 350-metre descent

1 discovery route – blue: 3 km
1 challenge route – red: 2.5 km – the red route is not recommended for children under 14

Single price: €25 per lap / €40 for 2 consecutive laps

Open daily from 4 July to 30 August 2026, from 9.30 am to 12.15 pm and from 1 pm to 4.30 pm

Recommended equipment: gloves, sunglasses, trousers, closed-toe shoes
Wearing a helmet is compulsory (provided on request)
