The mountain bike route begins on a small tarmac road, winding gently between the first high-altitude chalets. From the very first turns of the wheel, you're struck by the peacefulness of the surroundings: a silence punctuated only by birdsong and the rustle of wind in the foliage. The moderate gradient is ideal for warming up and enjoying the mountain scenery as it gradually unfolds.

The asphalt gives way to a more rustic forest road. The ground becomes more irregular, strewn with pebbles and larch needles. We then enter a sparse forest, typical of alpine zones, where the slender trunks of the larches filter golden light. The air is fresh and resinous, almost soothing.

The trail continues to climb gently, alternating between shady passages and open views of the surrounding valleys.

Finally, the path leads to an open plateau. Here, Lac de Peyrol appears, peaceful and sparkling in the hollow of a natural cirque. Its limpid water reflects the surrounding peaks, and the larch trees that surround it complete this picture of absolute serenity. An ideal end to a journey of wilderness, tranquil beauty and picnics.
