For nearly twenty years, ‘ Vars en Scène ’ has marked the start of the winter season and brought mountain lovers together to share and celebrate. For its 18th edition, this iconic event is being revamped and will become the ‘ Vars en Scène ’ Festival: a new, festive format that is free and open to all, which will bring the resort to life with music, entertainment and a warm, friendly atmosphere.

Three festive weekends to kick off the winter season in Vars

Music, energy and wonder… This year, Vars en Scène kicks off the winter season with an exceptional programme. Over three weekends, the resort will welcome renowned artists for festive, friendly and free evenings.

Electro, electrifying rock and grand illusions will take centre stage on 5, 12 and 20 December, bringing Vars to life in the run-up to the Christmas holidays. A wonderful opportunity to enjoy the unique mountain atmosphere at the start of the season and share special moments with family or friends.

A word to the wise

An electro interlude to mark the opening of the ski resort

The French electro duo Bon Entendeur will kick off this year’s edition of ‘ Vars en Scène ’.

Masters in the art of bridging the gaps between eras, the two artists craft their sets as true sonic journeys, blending iconic vocals, contemporary beats and timeless melodies. Having made a name for themselves with their famous mixtapes,Bon Entendeur enjoyed phenomenal success with the album *Aller-Retour* and its unmissable track *Le temps est bon*, which went diamond.

Having filled France’s largest venues and taken their ‘French Touch’ to the four corners of the globe, they are continuing their journey with *Rivages*, their latest album.

Skip The Use

Rock energy that’ll get the whole mountain dancing

On Saturday 12 December, for the festival’s second event, ‘ Vars en Scène ’ will welcome Skip The Use, a must-see band on the French rock scene.

Renowned for their intense live performances, the band will take to the stage for the second time on the Chabrières snowfront with infectious energy blending punk, electro, hip-hop, pop and funk. Driven by tracks that have become iconic – such as ‘Ghost’, ‘The Story of Gods and Men’ and ‘Nameless World’ – and a remarkable stage presence, Skip The Use takes its audience on a journey through concerts where the intensity never lets up.

On Sunday 20 December, Sophie Edelstein will bring this new ‘ Vars en Scène ’ series to a close with a grand illusion show blending mystery, elegance and wonder.

A leading figure in French magic, Sophie Edelstein has for many years been creating shows in which magic becomes a truly visual and emotional experience. Her career has taken her from television studios to the world’s greatest stages, via Asia, Polynesia and Las Vegas.

Through her spectacular scenes and her refined world, she invites young and old alike to pause time and rediscover the joy of wonder.
