A winter of sport, music and festivities

When the mountains are blanketed in snow, Vars hosts the unmissable events for which it is renowned. Concerts and shows kick off the season with ‘ Vars en Scène ’, whilst the world’s top athletes take to the slopes for international speed skiing, freestyle and freeride competitions. The festive season and winter entertainment round off the programme, offering everyone a unique experience in the heart of the Southern Alps.

In the summer months, Vars becomes a fantastic playground for outdoor enthusiasts. Trail running, cycling and downhill mountain biking take over the valley’s trails and hillsides through a number of iconic events.
