A favourite playground for outdoor sports enthusiasts, Vars hosts several events every summer that bring the resort to life in different ways. The Vars Mountain Trail invites runners to explore the high-altitude landscapes via challenging and spectacular routes. The6-Day Cycle Race, meanwhile, offers an immersive experience amongst the most beautiful mountain passes of the Southern Alps, whilst theDownhill RS Cup brings together the best downhill mountain bikers and thrill-seekers on a technical and challenging course. Three unmissable events that showcase the full diversity of the playgrounds Vars has to offer in summer.
Summer in Vars is also a chance to share authentic and festive moments. With theHeritage Festival at Sainte-Marie, the resort celebrates its history, traditions and the skills that shape Vars’ identity. A few weeks earlier, the13 July celebrations bring locals and holidaymakers together in a warm and friendly atmosphere, with entertainment, opportunities to socialise and a fireworks display. Two unmissable events that celebrate the Vars way of life and the joy of getting together in the mountains.
Summer in Vars is also marked by a rich and varied programme of events.
