3. Events not to be missed

Vars is much more than just a ski resort: it’s also a place for festivities and major sporting events. The season kicks off every year with Vars en Scène. Last year Bigflo & Oli put on an unforgettable free concert. And to round off the season, Gliss & Mix brings the resort to life with a host of top DJs. Vars also offers the adrenalin of major competitions. With the famous Chabrières piste, recognised as the fastest in the world, Vars plays host to the World Speed Skiing Cup, the World Championship and the world record attempt. On the freestyle side, the Vars snowpark hosts the French snowboard championships as well as spectacular freestyle ski competitions. Vars is not just about skiing, it’s about having fun all year round!
