    A native of northern France, Jean Dekyndt began his musical studies at the Lille Conservatory and continued at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris. In 1974, he was awarded the Prix de concours d'orgue R LARTISIEN. A regular guest at numerous festivals, he performs regularly in recital, as a soloist with orchestra and in duo with trumpeter Bernard Soustrot. He is currently titular organist of the Cathedral Saint-Nazaire in Béziers and titular organist of the Cathedral Saint Pierre in Montpellier. Jean Dekyndt has rounded off his career as a musician with teaching and administrative duties as director of several conservatories: H. Berlioz in Paris, Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Saint Etienne, Tours, Montpellier and Toulouse.
