The mountain bike adventure

Calling all mountain bike enthusiasts: come and explore the Vars Bike Park.

Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, with family or friends, don’t miss the chance to hop on your bike and ride the 200 kmof trails and tracks the resort has to offer this summer. Beginners can try their hand at mountain biking on the green and blue trails, whilst experienced cyclists can tackle the more technical and physically demanding red and black trails.

NEW FOR 2026: Forêt Verte 360

From 4 July 2026, Vars and Risoul are launching a brand-newForêt Verte 360 experience, a connected mountain biking area.
For the first time, you’ll be able to ride freely from one resort to another, without interruption, and enjoy a completely new riding experience in the Southern Alps.

With360 km of trails and routes, the Forêt Verte 360 offers you an exceptional playground: enduro, DH, cross-country or e-MTB

Varied terrain

The Vars domain is a varied playground, offering a multitude of terrain: in the forest, on single track, in meadows or even under the ridges. You’ll have the chance to tour the area on two wheels and try out all kinds of disciplines: DH, enduro or cross-country. There are also two zones specially dedicated to mini-riders and beginners, with small wooden modules for perfecting your riding skills.

Around a hundred kilometres of marked DH, enduro and cross-country circuits accessible by ski lifts open every day of the summer from 4 July to 30 August 2026.

Discover the bike park

Every day, there are 32km of downhill mountain biking between the summit of the Mayt in Vars and the shores of Lake Serre-Ponçon, with a 1,800m vertical drop. Most of the descent takes place in woodland, with plenty of rest and picnic areas.

Discover the route

A VTTAE route takes you on a magnificent loop through the heart of the Forêt Blanche estate. Between forests and ridges, this route offers an immersion into varied and unspoilt landscapes, ideal for a nature outing accessible to as many people as possible.

Whether you opt for a short stroll or a longer outing, you can adapt the route to suit you. Don’t forget to plan your battery autonomy.
