Created in 1964, this nature reserve is a haven of peace, preserved through the seasons. A veritable green lung for Vars, it stretches across wild landscapes criss-crossed by the Rif Bel torrent, a vein of running water that rises from the rocky heights culminating at an altitude of 3385 metres. Autumn, although in transition, is beginning to weave its very special magic. The forests of larches, Scots pines and spruces gradually take on shades of gold, copper or bright red, transforming the landscape into a living tableau. Every day, the autumn palette intensifies, promising a unique spectacle on every visit.
The pure air and tranquillity of the area make it an ideal destination for hiking and observing wildlife in its natural habitat.
