Close to the Chabrières hut, restored as it was in summertime, Vars en Fête offers an authentic insight into the daily lives of shepherds and breeders. The event highlights the maintenance of mountain pastures, pastoral skills and traditions that shape the mountain landscape.
The young farmers of the Hautes-Alpes will be offering a meal and workshops to help you discover today's alpine agriculture.
Access from Les Claux via the Chabrières telemix, then an easy 15-minute walk.
