Quality Tourism mark

The Vars Tourist Office holds the Quality Tourism mark (renewed in September 2019). Created by the French government, the aim of this mark is to improve the quality of tourist services in France.

This mark selects and federates under a single symbol the quality approaches undertaken for your satisfaction in hotels, tourist residences, holiday villages, campsites, restaurants, cafés and brasseries, seasonal rental agencies, tourist offices, places to visit and outdoor activities.

Within this framework, the Vars Tourist Office undertakes to :

To provide you with an easily accessible reception and information area, with furniture to sit on and free Wi-Fi access.

To welcome you 305 days a year, by a professional team who care about your wellbeing in Vars, who will make things easier for you and provide you with clear and accurate information about the local tourist offer free of charge. Reception staff speak at least two foreign languages.

Guarantee the reliability and timeliness of information and present all the qualified services available in the area for all customers. Ensure the provision of tourist maps, plans and tourist guides on paper in two foreign languages.

Post and broadcast its opening times expressed in at least two foreign languages and display emergency numbers outside.

Give you access to its dedicated trilingual website adapted for consultation.

Answer your letters all year round, deal with your complaints and measure your satisfaction.

Comply with the requirements of the Tourism Quality mark and our Category I Classification.

Our sustainable commitments

We limit our internal printing and print our editions on recycled paper with the FSC PEFC label

We pay attention to our energy and water consumption (Switching off our appliances at the end of the day, sensible in-house printing …)

We print our editions on FSC PEFC labelled recycled paper and manage our brochure stocks to limit wastage at the end of the season.

We sort and recycle our waste and sort our emails.

We use non-disposable or recyclable crockery at our events (Eco cups, wooden cutlery …)

We reduce our goodies, choosing eco-friendly products and local suppliers.

We highlight our partners’ initiatives via the quality charter.

Continue to sort your waste during your stay: you can find the Sorting Guide at the Tourist Office or download it via Smitomga, as well as reusable bags.

Think about moderating your energy and water consumption at your holiday destination.

You can drop off your used batteries at the Tourist Office reception desk in our collector.

Please keep your places of interest clean, and respect the flora and fauna during your walks and nature activities by collecting your rubbish.
