In under 10 minutes (at the maximum permitted speed), you’ll be ready to hit the slopes. More skiing, less waiting – that’s the promise of a full day spent making the most of the ski area. 3. Events not to be missed

Vars is much more than just a ski resort: it’s also a place for celebrations and major sporting events. The season kicks off every year with a bang at ‘ Vars en Scène ’. This year, for its 18th edition, the event is getting a fresh look with a festival format, featuring three festive events, each with its own unique atmosphere and vibe. Because celebrating the start of the season with music isn’t enough, in Vars we also mark the end of the season with music, featuring a huge free concert on the slopes. Vars is also all about the adrenaline of major competitions. With the famous Chabrières run, recognised as the fastest in the world, Vars hosts the Speed Skiing World Cups, as well as the World Championships and world record attempts in the discipline. When it comes to freestyle, the Vars snowpark hosts the French Snowboard Championships as well as spectacular freestyle skiing competitions. Vars is all about skiing, but it’s also about fun all year round!
