Themed weeks for a holiday packed with fun

In Vars, the school holidays are all about celebration and fun, with themed weeks that promise unforgettable moments for the whole family. From Christmas right through to the end of the season, every week of the holidays is unique, with a theme specially chosen to get you excited. From surprising discoveries and sporting challenges to mysterious legends and a cowboy atmosphere, there’s something for everyone! Shows, entertainment and fun activities await you for a holiday full of laughter and new experiences.

Christmas weekThe elves of the Forêt Blanche21–25 December 2026

This week, come and celebrate Christmas in Vars in a magical atmosphere! Children’s shows, an enchanting Christmas tale, themed quizzes, a giant sledge ride, a Christmas bingo and a big elf hunt will be the highlights of this week’s festivities.
On 24 December, join the lantern-making workshop before the grand Christmas Eve celebration. Father Christmas will arrive on a snow groomer at the Sainte-Marie snow front to hand out smiles, Christmas treats and presents, before the traditional torchlit descent and the Christmas fireworks display. On 25 December, enjoy festive entertainment around the Christmas market, gospel singing and a photo booth to capture this magical day. And keep an eye out on the slopes: after his rounds, Father Christmas will be enjoying a bit of a break in Vars and might well still have a few presents left in his sack!

New Year’s WeekCelebrate the New Year in all its glitz and glamourFrom 29 December to 2 January 2027

This week, Vars is set to dazzle you with glitz and glamour as part of the New Year’s celebrations! After a day’s skiing, head to the Vars snow front Les Claux, to enjoy a spectacular show that will kick off the festivities. The ski instructors will then take over with the traditional torchlight descent, whilst the snow groomers will parade before the grand New Year’s Eve fireworks display. To keep the party going, an après-ski concert will warm up the atmosphere and get everyone’s energy levels soaring as we ring in the New Year. A festive and convivial evening to enjoy with family or friends!

Vars and Legends WeekA week in the realm of the imagination6–13 February 2027

This week, the magic of fairy tales and legends comes to life in Vars. Let yourself be swept away into a world filled with fantastical creatures, mysterious stories and enchanting adventures.

Throughout the week, enjoy activities for the whole family: enchanting street performances, storytelling and après-ski walks, creative workshops, a hunt for legendary creatures, an escape game and shows. A fun and magical experience that will delight young and old alike.

Cybervars WeekStep into the world of the futureFrom 13 February to 20 February 2027

This week, Vars is taking a decidedly tech-focused turn with CyberVars. From digital worlds to innovations and immersive experiences, get ready to discover a world where LEDs, pixels and new technologies take centre stage.

On the programme: drone shows, virtual reality experiences, simulators, video game tournaments, technology workshops and a host of interactive activities. A fun and futuristic week that will delight both tech enthusiasts and the simply curious looking to explore.

Vars Star WeekHead in the cloudsFrom 20 February to 27 February 2027

At an altitude of 1,800 metres, Vars is the ideal place to set off on a journey of discovery into space and the wonders of the sky. This themed week invites you to explore the mysteries of the universe through fun and exciting activities for the whole family.

On the programme: observing the sun and the stars, rocket launches, astronomy talks, quizzes and space-themed activities. A week with your head in the stars, to learn, marvel and dream big.

Vars Mountain Ranch WeekOn the way to the Wild WestFrom 27 February to 6 March 2027

For this final week of the holidays, Vars is taking on a Wild West feel! Pull on your cowboy boots, jeans and your best cowboy hat for a Wild West adventure in the heart of the mountains.

The Vars Mountain Ranch is opening its doors especially for the occasion and invites you to awaken the cowboy within. On the programme: lasso throwing, archery, horseshoe throwing, mechanical rodeo, country music concerts and a host of activities inspired by the Wild West. A fun-filled and friendly week to enjoy with family or friends.
