This weekend’s 100% trail race kicked off with the most explosive format: the vertical kilometre.
Planned as 3.7km and 930 metres of ascent, the course was finally shortened to 2km and 500m of D+ due to uncertain weather conditions, stopping the runners at the lac de Peyrol.A short but intense climb, which set the tone for the weekend.
Despite this last-minute change, the intensity and effort were definitely there. In a concentrated but friendly atmosphere, the 74 runners registered for the KV gave their all on this climb, which was a real warm-up for the participants in the Challenge 3 formats, or an objective in its own right for others.
