Mountain trail

Take up the challenge of the Trail des 5 Cols, a demanding 25km, 1400m D+ race that’s back for its third year. Specially designed for trail enthusiasts in search of adventure and challenge, it starts from the Col de Vars, a symbolic point marking the halfway point of the marathon format, where participants will be sharing the tracks of runners who set off a few hours earlier.

Race management will be essential on this format, most of which is run at an altitude of over 2000m. At the start of the course, prepare yourself for the longest climb of 670m, which will take you directly to the Tête de Paneyron. You then skirt around Lac de l’Etoile until you reach the Col de Serenne. The last part of the run takes you to the Col de la Coulette and the famous panorama of the Vars crests. You’ll be rewarded with a panoramic aerial view before finishing your run in the Pinée forest, just before reaching the village of Sainte-Marie.
