Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced rider, with family or friends, don’t miss the chance to get on your two-wheeler and ride the 200 km ofitineraries and trails the resort has to offer this summer. Beginners can try their hand at mountain biking on the green and blue trails, while experienced cyclists can tackle the more technical and physical red and black trails.
The Vars area is a varied playground, offering a multitude of terrain: forest, single track, meadow and ridge. You’ll have the chance to tour the area on two wheels, and try out all kinds of disciplines: DH, enduro or cross-country. Two zones specially dedicated to mini-riders and beginners are also available, with small wooden modules for perfecting your riding skills.
A hundred kilometers of marked DH, endruo and cross-country circuits accessible by ski lifts open every day of the summer from July 5 to August 31, 2025.
A Kid Zone:
In the Caribou parking lot, designed to introduce children to mountain bikes and draisienne bikes, with wooden modules built on site, at ground level: rocking bridge, small wall, footbridges… This fun zone also features a skate park.
Cool Zone:
At the top of the Chabrières telemix, featuring double-slope wooden modules and 3 springboard bridges from easy to expert levels.
Every day, there are 32 km of downhill mountain biking between the summit of the Mayt in Vars and the shores of Lake Serre-Ponçon, with a vertical drop of 1800 m. The descent is mainly forest-based, with rest and picnic areas dotted throughout.
A VTTAE itinerary allows you to discover a superb loop in the heart of the Forêt Blanche estate, taking you through magnificent landscapes between forests and ridges. Set off on an easy ride on this itinerary, which is accessible to all. The choice is yours, whether you’re looking for a short hike or a longer one! You’ll need your own battery, and a special lift pass to access Risoul’s ski lifts.
